It is true that I am against tax increases, as implied during the October 20th, Courier-Journal House of Representatives endorsements, and here is why: When all the taxes imposed on Kentucky citizens are added together (Federal, State, Local, etc., etc.,) the total reaches up to 40% or more of a typical working person’s paycheck. I believe that is enough. My opponent proudly endorses new taxes and additional tax increases. This is a major difference between the two of us. As I run for re-election for the fifth time, I stand on my record of fighting against tax increases in Frankfort.
